Sustainability

The SBTi has approved the Emerges Group’s near-term science-based emissions reduction target. The Emerges Group commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 50.4% by 2032 from a 2023 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.
Outline of GHG management/reduction programmes or strategies for scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions
Emerges Group's GHG Emissions in tCO2e (Singapore Only)

For scope 1
- Progressively switch entire fleet to EV. For the same distance travelled, we know that there can be about 50% reduction of GHG emissions. Thus to achieve 40-50% reduction of Scope 1 and 2 by 2030, replacing existing ICE vehicles with EV will be a main strategy. Charging infrastructure can be a constraint currently
- Optimise fuel efficiency through awareness (less idling time and harsh braking, routing)
- Current R410A has GWP of 2256, so to look into options with lower GWP when it’s time to upgrade aircon
For scope 2
- Look for further optimisation
- More efficient EV charger or tap on EV charger using renewable energy
- Explore renewable energy sources
